Named for the goddess of dawn. A private house above the water at Pollonia, where the sun rises from the Aegean between Kimolos and Polyaigos— twenty-six steps from your terrace to the sea.
the story of eos
Referred to by the classic Greek poet Homer as “the young rosy-fingered Dawn [that] lit up the world,” the goddess Eos opens the gates of heaven for her brother, the Sun (Helios). She rides a rose-colored, purple, or golden chariot drawn by white horses. Her yellow robe is embroidered with flowers. She is a supernaturally beautiful woman, crowned with the large white-feathered wings of a bird.
The House of Dawn
A house that wakes with the sea, on the white rock of Pollonia.
The house stands on white Cycladic stone between two sandy coves on the northeast shore of Milos — three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a terrace open to the water. The light arrives early here and fills the whole house.
Here time flows slower — coffee at first light, the Aegean shifting from grey to gold, and the village of Pollonia sitting five minutes along the shore

The House
Living Room & open kitchen
An airy open-plan living room flows into a fully equipped kitchen — espresso and french-press at the ready — with wide doors that fold the inside out toward the sea. Linen, pale wood and stone, nothing in excess.
Bedrooms & the loft
Three bedrooms sleep eight. Soft cotton, shuttered light and sea air: three restful rooms, one open to the sea and one open to the garden, while a loft bedroom tucks beneath the roofline — with easy access to the living room.
Bathrooms
Three bathrooms in tactile stone and microcement, with rainfall showers and an outdoor shower for sandy feet. Cool, simple, and full of morning light.
Outdoor lounge & jacuzzi
Sun-warmed loungers and a private jacuzzi set against the Aegean. The horizon is the only thing between you and the water — the place to watch dawn break over the islands.

location
On the northeast tip of Milos.
Pollonia is a fishing village turned quiet harbour, all whitewashed lanes and tamarisk trees, with the ferry to Kimolos leaving from the jetty. Eos sits just above the water at its edge — close enough to walk to dinner, far enough to hear only the sea. Sarakiniko and Papafragas are a short drive west.
